Irish

Most restaurants serve a number of traditional Irish dishes. The most popular of these are probably Irish stew, spare ribs and bacon and cabbage. But the most dominant style of cooking is best described as 'country house cooking' which incorporates the best of local produce. The quality of Irish meat and seafood is truly outstanding and the range of fresh vegetables on offer is impressive with much of the produce organically grown. The best places to sample traditional Irish fare is in the pub lunches that are offered by most of the hostelries in town.
